About The Mobile Young Republicans:
The purpose and desire of the Mobile Young Republicans (“Mobile YRs”) is to promote the principles and policies of the National Republican Party platform by providing opportunities, which advance Conservative ideals, to young professionals, ages 18 to 40 years old. The Mobile Young Republicans work together with the Young Republican National Federation (“YRNF”) and the Young Republican Federation of Alabama (“YRFA”) at both the national and local levels, to achieve our mission.
While the Mobile YRs are a group of young adults, ages 18-40, we do welcome associate members who do not fall in that age range. We meet the third Monday of every month at 6 PM, at the West Mobile location of Heroes’ Sports Bar & Grille, located at 36 Hillcrest Road, near the University of South Alabama. Anyone who is interested or has any questions can contact the Mobile YRs by e-mail at email@example.com, or via the Official Mobile Young Republicans Facebook Page.
The YRNF is a group of registered Republicans from all over the United States, ages 18 to 40 years old. It is the oldest political youth organization in the United States, and is critical to the growth of the Republican Party. The YRNF’s aim is to provide young Republicans from all over the United States with better political knowledge and understanding of the activities inside all areas of politics.
YRs have been instrumental in the shaping of the political world for over 150 years. YRs began to impact the national political world as early as 1859, and in 1860 the YRs were instrumental in the success of President Abraham Lincoln’s election. YRs continued to be involved in politics, and in 1935, the YRNF was officially formed. Then, state chapters, including the Young Republican Federation of Alabama, formed, and as the state chapters formed, local county chapters were created to frame these state chapters.
Alabama is proud to have one of the most active YR chapters in the nation, the Young Republican Federation of Alabama. Today, several Alabama counties have individual YR chapters which make up the YRFA. Mobile, Alabama is proud to be the home of one of the most dynamic chapters in the state & call itself host to the 2013 Young Republican National Convention!
